Everything you need to know about MORPHUES8 – Skin tightening treatment used by Kim Kardashian

Wanting to look young, people are spending a fortune on beauty products and treatments that claim to help achieve smoother, clearer skin. And the latest trend on the block seems to be the Morpheus8 laser treatment. Ever since reality TV star Kim Kardashian revealed she took the treatment to tighten her tummy, people are now curious to know the details.

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a micro-needling bipolar RF device, which has micro-needles that penetrate the skin and fat layer during the treatment process. This treatment gives you a younger look by improving facial sagging, erasing scars, smoothing skin and tightening skin and pores.

Morphues8’s type of micro-needling is more complex and creative than conventional procedures. The treatment includes piercing your skin with small needles to create channels. After which radio frequency energy is used to tighten the skin. Each Morpheus8 treatment session lasts approximately 15-30 minutes.

The effects of the treatment on the skin are said to be superior, more powerful and long lasting than any other existing treatment available.

Side effects:

Speaking to Hindustan Times about the procedure’s side effects, Dr Kiran Lohia of Isya Aesthetics said, “Its side effects are rare but may include some marks which can be treated.”

Mild swelling and redness in the treated skin area are the most common side effects. However, there is no need to worry as it gets better after a few days. The procedure may result in small scabs, a thin layer of scaly, peeling skin in the treated area. It is advisable to refrain from picking the scabs you observe. This will make the region results less effective. These scabs can appear anytime within the first 72 hours. Some other side effects of the treatment are bruising, soreness and, for some patients, occasional pain.
